Te Hono Tātaia - Interweaving People and Spaces
The Waikato Environment Centre (Go Eco) whānau cultivate strong, connected relationships between people, place and purpose.
We support shared learning and growth, empowering our people and partnerships to evolve together for long term environmental resilience.
Hapū never ceded sovereignty. In our Tiriti centred practice, we follow the lead, and support the aspirations of whaanau and hapū.
Our path to a climate resilient region is carried by three Pou.

Kai Symposium 2026
The Go Eco Kai Symposium is two days of kōrero, workshops, and hands-on learning in Kirikiriroa Hamilton and Gordonton on May 20-21. From exploring what's working in local kai systems to building practical skills in food production and processing, this wānanga is for anyone ready to strengthen the way our communities grow, access, and share kai.
Our Projects
At Go Eco, we know you cannot separate the health of te taiao from the wellbeing of people. Our programmes focus on practical solutions that support systems change, not just individual action.
Each kaupapa is shaped with communities, made as accessible as possible, and guided by relationships with mana whenua, hapū and the local knowledge of place.
