We are a charitable trust with a vision of healthy environments supported by thriving communities. We provide community education, collaborate and support environmental groups and projects, provide inspiration for living lighter, and advocate on behalf of the environment.
The Board of Trustees provides governance – working to understand the social, cultural, legal, environmental, political, and business contexts within which Go Eco operates to identify and evaluate the risks, trends, and opportunities for the organisation.
The role of the Board is to:
set the direction for Go Eco – perform strategic thinking and planning, promote a positive public image, set mission and vision, establish organisational values, approve operational and annual plans;
ensure responsibility for organisational resources; and
provide oversight of Go Eco – oversee financial management, minimise exposure to risk, measure progress on the strategic plan, monitor programmes and services, provide legal and moral oversight.
We strongly encourage expressions of interest from Māori, Pasifika, and young people.
